Rusty spots on bone strip along bottom edge of stock, are the nails used to hold the bone in place. Flax bridle-cord holding the prod is a replacement for the previous cord, which appeared to be cotton sash-cord.

As is common with Central European bows, this one is fitted with a doubled-end string, that is made as thick around the ends as it is in the center.
